About Proud Tek
RFID & NFC Manufacturer since 2008
Quick answer
Proud Tek Co., Limited is a Shenzhen-based RFID and NFC manufacturer serving B2B procurement programs across more than 50 countries. Since 2008 we have operated as a direct factory — wet-inlay assembly, card and label lamination, encoding, laser numbering and compliance documentation all happen under our own roof. We sell to system integrators, OEMs, hospitality groups, industrial laundries, brand owners and event organizers who need a chip-agnostic factory partner with traceable quality and predictable lead times.

Numbers buyers usually want first
These are the data points we get asked for most often during supplier qualification. They are kept current; the rest of the page explains what sits behind each of them.
Factory-direct vs trading-company sourcing
Most international RFID buyers have been burned at least once by a trading company that re-sold someone else's inlay at a 20-30% markup, with no real engineering support when a deployment ran into reader-range or compliance trouble. The decision to source directly from a factory is the single biggest cost-and-quality lever you have.
Typical trading-company experience
- One or two middlemen taking 15-30% margin on top of the factory price.
- Limited product range; the trading company resells whatever a few partner factories produce.
- No engineering escalation path when reader range, anti-collision or chip-side issues appear.
- Compliance docs (RoHS, REACH, FCC, CE) charged as extras or simply unavailable.
- Lead times depend on the trading company's own queue with their suppliers.
Sourcing directly from Proud Tek
- Factory pricing direct — full margin stays with you, not a middle layer.
- Six product families and the major chip vendors all under one roof.
- Engineering escalation routed straight to the inlay or encoding team that built the SKU.
- ISO 9001 quality system; compliance declarations included with every shipment.
- Production schedule visibility; safety-stock arrangements for distributor programs.
In-house manufacturing capabilities
Proud Tek operates production lines for the value-added steps that buyers care about for traceability and audit. We do not outsource the encoding step or the compliance test — those decide whether a program survives a customs audit or a brand-owner inspection.
Wet-inlay assembly
Chip bonding to PET / PI antennas in-house, supporting NXP, Infineon, Impinj, Alien, EM and Quanray families. We are not locked to a single chip vendor.
Card and label lamination
PVC, ABS, PETG, recycled-PVC and FSC-certified paper substrates. Anti-metal ferrite-backed inlays for on-metal asset tagging.
Encoding and personalization
UID locking, NDEF programming, GS1 SGTIN-96 encoding, custom block writes, key diversification (MIFARE Plus / DESFire / NTAG 424 DNA).
Print and marking
Four-color offset, screen printing, hot stamping, laser engraving and variable-data inkjet — including consecutive serialization and QR / barcode overlays.
Quality control
100% functional read test on every encoded unit. Sampling-plan AQL inspection on visual and dimensional attributes. Documented test reports per shipment.
Packaging and logistics
Bulk poly bags, individual sleeves, retail blister, custom branded boxes. DHL / FedEx / EMS air freight; sea freight LCL or FCL for distributor volume.
Working with Proud Tek — the procurement workflow
Most buyers move from first inquiry to first production order in three to six weeks, depending on whether samples need to clear an internal test phase. The path below describes how a typical RFID OEM program runs with us.
- Step 1 — Inquiry and scoping
Send us your application context: chip family or read requirements, form factor, environment (on-metal, outdoor, high-temperature, laundry), expected annual volume and any compliance constraints. We reply within one business day with a recommended SKU shortlist and indicative pricing.
- Step 2 — Sample qualification
We ship a sampling kit (typically 50-100 encoded units across the shortlisted SKUs) to your engineering or QA team. Sampling is free for qualified B2B inquiries; courier is at customer cost. Most teams take one to two weeks to validate against their reader fleet and integration software.
- Step 3 — Pilot order
First production order, usually 5,000-50,000 pieces. We lock the encoding scheme, packaging spec and compliance documentation pack. Pilot lead time is typically two to three weeks once artwork and encoding files are signed off.
- Step 4 — Production rollout and reorder cadence
Recurring orders move onto a forecast-based safety-stock program; distributors typically run scheduled call-offs from a 30-90 day buffer at our warehouse. Same account engineer stays on the program across years.
Product families we manufacture
We cover the form factors that B2B RFID and NFC programs actually use day-to-day. Specialty SKUs (silicone wristbands, wooden cards, laundry textile tags, on-metal industrial tags) are produced on the same lines as standard cards and labels — there is no premium for going non-standard once the artwork is fixed.
- RFID and NFC cards — PVC, ABS, PETG, recycled-PVC, wood and transparent stocks; MIFARE Classic / Plus / DESFire / NTAG / ICODE / EM4200 / T5577 chips.
- RFID labels and stickers — UHF wet inlays, NFC NDEF stickers, on-metal labels, fragile-tamper labels, anti-counterfeit DESFire EV3 inlays.
- Industrial RFID tags — laundry PPS / silicone, anti-metal asset tags, livestock ear tags, vehicle windshield tags, tool-tracking tags.
- RFID wristbands — silicone, woven fabric, PVC, paper Tyvek event wristbands; cashless-payment / access-control / cruise-line variants.
- RFID keyfobs — ABS hard-shell, epoxy soft, leather, metal — for access control, vehicle ID, loyalty programs.
- RFID readers — desktop encoders, fixed UHF readers, handheld scanners; programming station bundles for in-house personalization.
Industries we ship to most often
Most of our customers come back for second and third programs because the engineering conversation continues across deployments. The list below reflects where the bulk of our shipments go.
- Hospitality — hotels, resorts and cruise lines on key-card refresh cycles; full DESFire and MIFARE Plus support for lock-system compatibility.
- Transportation — ticketing cards for bus, metro and tram operators; we ship millions of cards annually for transit programs across multiple countries.
- Industrial laundry — PPS, silicone and textile tags surviving 150-200 wash cycles at 95°C with chemical exposure.
- Retail and apparel — UHF source-tagging mandates (Walmart RFID, brand-owner programs), anti-counterfeit NFC for luxury goods.
- Healthcare — medical-textile tracking, surgical-instrument inventory, patient-wristband identification.
- Events and venues — cashless RFID wristbands for festivals, conferences, theme parks and ski resorts.
- Libraries and archives — ISO 15693 book tags and self-service kiosk programs.
- Brand protection — NTAG 424 DNA / 213 TT anti-counterfeit programs; EU Digital Product Passport-ready inlays.
What customers tell us afterwards
What stood out was the engineering response. Within a day of sending the chip-side error logs from our reader fleet, Proud Tek's team had identified the encoding mismatch and shipped a corrected batch. We have worked with three other Chinese RFID suppliers; none escalated to engineering that fast.
Compliance and documentation
Compliance documentation is part of the deliverable, not an upcharge. Every shipment goes out with the declarations buyers need; certified test reports (TÜV, SGS, Intertek) can be commissioned when a program requires third-party attestation.
- Air-interface standards: ISO/IEC 14443 Type A/B (HF), ISO/IEC 15693 (vicinity), ISO/IEC 18000-6C (UHF EPC Gen2/Gen2v2).
- Materials: RoHS, REACH SVHC, California Prop 65 declarations on file.
- Radio approvals: FCC Part 15 / 18 (US), CE EN 300 330 / 302 208 (EU), MIC (Japan), CCC (China).
- Quality system: ISO 9001:2015 certified.
- Sustainability: recycled-PVC stocks and FSC-certified paper labels available on request.
- EU regulatory readiness: EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) compatible inlays, Battery Regulation 2023/1542 traceability files.

FAQ
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
Proud Tek Co., Limited is a direct manufacturer. We operate in-house production for wet-inlay assembly, card and label lamination, encoding, laser numbering and printing — not a sourcing intermediary. Buyers deal with the same factory that produces the SKU; there is no resale margin layered on top.
How long has Proud Tek been operating?
We were founded in 2008 in Shenzhen and have operated continuously for 18 years. We have shipped to customers across more than 50 countries during that time, with the heaviest concentration in Europe and the Americas.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Production MOQs are typically 1,000-5,000 pieces per SKU for stocked chip families and standard form factors. Pilot orders at lower volumes are negotiable for qualified buyers planning a recurring program. Specialty SKUs (anti-metal, on-textile, custom shapes) carry higher MOQs because they require dedicated tooling or substrate runs.
How does pricing work — do you publish a price list?
We do not publish unit pricing because RFID economics are sensitive to chip allocation, antenna size, encoding scope and order volume. Send us a target SKU, expected annual volume and packaging requirement; you will receive an itemized quotation within one business day.
What lead times should we plan around?
Pilot orders (5,000-50,000 pieces) ship in two to three weeks once artwork and encoding files are locked. Production reorders typically move on a 3-4 week cycle. Distributors on safety-stock programs see call-off shipments within 3-5 business days of release authorization.
Which chip families do you support?
We are chip-vendor agnostic. Current inventory covers NXP (MIFARE Classic / Plus / DESFire / NTAG 213/215/216/424 DNA / ICODE SLIX / UCODE 8/9), Infineon (My-d / NEO), Impinj (Monza 4/R6/R6-P/M7xx), Alien (Higgs-3/4/9/EC), EM Microelectronic (EM4200/4305/4423) and T5577 LF families. If your program needs a chip we do not stock, we will requisition it through the manufacturer's authorized distribution channel.
Can you support EU Digital Product Passport and Battery Regulation programs?
Yes. Our NFC NTAG 213/215/216/424 DNA and UHF UCODE 8/9 inlays meet the air-interface and memory requirements for EU DPP (ESPR / Regulation 2024/1781). We supply the technical files needed for Battery Regulation 2023/1542 traceability as part of the standard documentation pack.
Do you have a US, EU or UK office?
Proud Tek is operated out of Shenzhen with no overseas office. We work with buyers globally in English, with Chinese, Spanish and Arabic available on request. Local logistics is handled through DHL, FedEx and EMS partners; sea-freight LCL / FCL arrangements use standard FOB Shenzhen / Yantian incoterms.
What payment terms are available?
Standard pilot terms are 50% deposit, 50% before shipment, paid by T/T. Established distributors and brand-owner programs move onto open-account terms (Net 30 / Net 60) after the first one or two orders, with LC support for higher volumes. We do not require Western Union or personal-account payment routes.
